Should Taxes and rates be used to fix leaky homes?

No!!!
I disagree to this decision that government made.
25% of the cost of home repairs borne by the government and 25% of the council remaining 50% is borne by the homeowner. Because it will affect us in paying taxes and rates. This is incredible.

What causes leaky home problem is not people. These people did not approve the plan to build a house. Council, which approved the development plan of a house. And why people are charged in home repair costs? charged is not fair to people who are innocent.

The economic situation in the country not to support people pay high taxes and high rates. Without the government's decision was just people already feel that life is hard for everyday.
And will cause negative effects such as crime and will be troubling the general public. There is a possibility of criminal figures will increase or multiply.
This is not the right time the government making this decision

The Good the bad and the Ugly

The Good the Bad and the Ugly

The UGLY Cars

The First Ugly car that should be destroy is DAIHATU TANTO.
This car looks so ugly and I don`t like most DAIHATU cars.
DAIHATU is not really common in the world even this car`s home country Japan.
This car is so weak as well, This car at least for maybe 1year maximum.
When you own this car you will see some rusty metal body kit and rusty parts.
I`m sure this car will not be famous for ever and I hope it not going to be famous.

The Second Ugly car that should be destroy is Honda CR-X.
I owned Honda CR-X 1988 for 2months and it all broken and gone in two months.
The problem was Gear box and Radiator also something wrong with the engine.
After I stop driving that car I took off all the parts from CR-X, then I saw the CB joint was terribly dirty and damaged also some air hose kit was connected to the engine but I guess it did not make any help. Also Coolant was wringing to the flat and oil was terribly bad.CR-X body is so weak, actually most Honda cars are weak. So when you crash you may not survive.Especially CR-X body was just the plastic that I felt when I touched it.I bought this ugly piece of shit for $4200 I know I was stupid and start driving this car on that day and burn out the engine on same day that I bought it.THIS IS PIECE OF SHITTT

The Bad Cars
The first bad car that I think is Subaru Impreza.
I guess this car is most popular car in New Zealand but I think this car is most hardest car to fix the problem. Because the engine parts is really complicated.
Also easy to break everywhere the problem could be anything on this car.
But these car is cheap.

The Second bad car that I think is Honda Civic.
Only the problem is weak body, This car good at saving gas and stuff so it all good.
But weak body can kill you when you crash so I wanted this car made by strong metal.
Only the good car in Honda is NSX and S2000.

The Good Cars

The First Good Car that I think is Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren.
It's a super car, nothing wrong with it.The SLR sports a supercharged, all-aluminium, SOHC V8 engine.Maximum power is 617HP, 6500rpm.Transmission are 5-speed automatic transmission with 3 manual modes. For durability Mercedes selected a 5-speed transmission rather than their 7-speed gearbox which was more complex and used more parts.

The Second Good Car that I think is Aston Martin one 77.
Aston Martin Lagonda Limited is a British manufacturer of luxury sport car.
Super car and looks nice so I like it.

Chemical and Fire Safty Report

Chemical and fire safety report

Takumi Hashimoto

Introduction

This assignment is about chemical and fire hazards around in workshop. This assignment will cover how dangerous is chemical and fire accidents. Also how to reduce any risks prior to starting work by using correct P.P.E which is Person protective equipment. Next it will go into how the hazards such as fires/chemical burns can be controlled, and finally how the risks caused by fires and chemicals can be avoided entirely.

Body

The most common cause of fire is by human error. Most types of fires are paper/wood fires, chemical/liquid fires, electrical fires. Especially chemical can be caused by human error that is because the employee is not using correct workshop practices and not following guidelines correctly what can be dangerous. It might accidentally happen as well.

Chemical hazard can be controlled by ensuring that employees that all use the correct, and correct fitting P.P.E(Personal protective equipment). If employees don’t fitting correct P.P.E it will cause you so many risks to the person. For example the skin disease, chemical burn, chemical infection. So we all have to be careful when we in the work shop. Fire hazard can be controlled by ensuring that all use the correct, and correct fitting P.P.E as well. But it might happen accidentally as well, this can be prevented by having the correct training procedures in place. Fires in workplace situations can be on a person or in the environment, proper care around flammable Materials can avoid fired. Fires have many causes and most are avoidable.

Chemical and fire hazards can be avoided by having employees go through the correct training procedures. This ensures they know how to properly deal with the chemicals, and if anything occurs they know what to do to fix the situation.

When there is a fire, they spread quickly so if an attempt is made to extinguish a fire it needs to be near to when the fire first starts otherwise it will be out of control for a fire extinguisher.

Fire extinguishers are used to prevent, or extinguish fires in the early stages, there are fire extinguishers for each of the different types of fires.

For example, Class A: SOLIDS such as paper, wood, plastic etc. Class B: Flammable liquids such as paraffin, petrol, oil etc Class C: Flammable gases such as propane, butane, methane etc. Class D: Metals such as aluminium, magnesium, titanium etc. Class E: Fire in involving electrical apparatus.

Class F: Cooking oil & Fat etc.

Summary

This Report covers how the main causes of fire and chemical Hazards occur, how the risks when these hazards occur can be avoided or reduces, and ways to prevent these hazards ever occurring. On the most part to avoid these hazards is to just use common sense, training can reduce the risk of these things occurring and help them to control the situations as well.

Introduction:
The purpose of this assignment is to look at issues around global warming. I will look at the effects of global warming on our environment, Ways to reduce the effect of global warming and slow its effects such and electric and bio fuel vehicles, and hydrogen vehicles. I will also look at what the problems to the environment the internal combustion engine causes, and why the time of the internal combustion engine is limited.

Body:
Global Warming is the increase in the average temperature of earth, the warming of the earth is said the be melting the ice caps and raising the sea levels, sinking some of the lower lying countries and raising the temperate to critical levels elsewhere.

Temperature rise is because of man made gasses created in everyday works. Industrial practices create a large amount of carbon dioxide and other gasses that are affecting the environment. It is not only the industries, its every day activities, anyone driving around is adding a small proportion the the affects of these gasses on the environment.

Global Warming heats the earth by limiting the amount of heat that can be reflected back into outer space, the Ozone layer is supposed to limit the amount of heat entering and leaving, the chemicals in the air are preventing the amount of heat leaving our atmosphere, thus it heats up our environment.

Most of the current, and supposedly ageing engines are internal combustion engines that run on a basic 4 stroke cycle. The four stroke petrol engine works by performing controlled explosions in a very fast sequence to pump the pistons, there are 4 different stages in the cycle, the intake stroke, this is where the fuel and air is introduced into the cylinders, then the compression stroke, where the air and fuel is compressed together into a mixture of the two, then next the combustion stroke, the spark plugs ignite the fuel and air mixture and the piston is forced down, then the exhaust stroke where the gasses produced by the combustion is pushed out. This is the stroke that creates all the environmental issues around internal combustion engines. The Exhaust stroke creates gasses such as Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide and Nitrogen Oxide. catalytic converters are not there to lower carbon dioxide levels, in fact they raise it
We have to either limit the amount of fossil fuel we burn, or we have to find a new source of power.

An alternative to the internal combustion engine is the electric vehicle, the Electric vehicles can be good, it has the ability to gain maximum torque at standstill, for example this gives a electric car called the Tesla a 0-60mp/h of 3.9 seconds. The thing is that they require massive amounts of batteries to produce such power, but that adds lots of weight, which means more power is needed to move it. Although the electric car has a low number of moving parts, so its easier to maintain, and its cheaper to run compared to a petrol engine, This then means there must also be some more downsides to it, to recharge a car like the Tesla, which has 6831 batteries takes 16 hours from a standard 13 amp plug. They also have limited range and power available, so electrical accessories must be limited to avoid reducing power.

The next choice to an electric car is a hydrogen Electric car, in the long run its more economical than an electric car, because it is only pressurized hydrogen, and the only thing produced by the running car is water. The next upside the hydrogen car has over the electric car, is that is doesn't take 16 hours to start going again, its exactly like refueling an internal combustion engine,it only takes a few minutes. Now the only Hydrogen Electric car available is The Honda Clarity, Its a 4 Door Sedan its an average family car, it behaves exactly like an petrol family car, the acceleration, top speed and 0-60 acceleration is similar to a petrol car.

Conclusion
This assignment has looked at some of the causes for global warming, the effects of global warming on our environment and the subsequent consequences, The alternatives to the internal combustion engine such as electric and hydrogen electric and the upsides and some similarities to the internal combustion engines from the point of view of the electric and hydrogen vehicles, the engines that will eventually replace the internal combustion engine.

Assissment Activity

Last week I was assessed with two others on stripping and rebuilding an engine. Before we started I looked ate the technical data to understand the process. I selected the correct tools and started taking off the cylinder head. I removed the bolts in the correct sequence and stored the head on stands. I then removed the sump and started to dismantle the bottom of the engine. I made sure that all the bearings were numbered so that they went back to the same place. I measured the crank and cylinderfor wear and reassembled the engine. I torqued to correct setting and in correct sequence. I aligned the timing marks and fitted the belt. I then rotated through 720 deg and checked the marks.
I cleande my area and put my tools away.
